(04-1)  FLIPPIN:
Does anyone know what rank Thomas Haggard Perry FLIPPIN (c1818 - 22 Dec 1885) was during the Civil War?  I know he served in Company A in Colonel Sidney D. Jackman's brigade, and then he served under Company C with Colonel John A. Schnabel.

(04-3)  FLIPPEN - BURNETT - BATES:
My great-great-grandmother was Willie Estelle BURNETT BATES.  She was born 3 Apr 1881 in Stephenville, Erath co., TX.  According to her death certificate, her parents were Jim BURNETT and Nancy Elizabeth FLIPPEN.  In the ensus that Willie was in with her husband and children, she lists her father being born in GA and TX on another and her mother being born in GA on one, IL on another and GA again on another.  I have looked everywhere I know to look I can find neither one of her parents in any census nor can I find a marriage for them.  Family stories say that Willie was half Indian of Choctaw descent if this helps.  Can anyone help me?
