[NOTE by NAL: The information was sent to me by Ms. Boles in May 2003 and I had replied with a question but did not hear from her again. It was then misplaced. I am now placing it online in case it may help someone and hopefully Ms. Boles is still using the same e-mail address.]
(05-2) FLIPPEN - CARTER - HIX:
In the will of Martha FLIPPEN presented 25 Apr 1794 at Cumberland Co., VA she names her daughter Jane Carter giving her one feather bed and furniture and a religious book and any remains of her estate to Jane and her sons Robert, Philip, Jacob, and Mary Hix. Who was her daughter Jane married to?
[NOTE by NAL: Jane was married first to Josiah Walton and second to David Carter.
REPLY by JCC who would like to hear from anyone reseaching this Carter family: Maybe someone will know who David Carter belonged to. I still wonder if David Carter should have been Daniel Carter. The old records are not always written correctly.]
(05-3) FLIPPIN - AUER? - WILSON:
I found on a website that Sumner FLIPPIN's mother was R. AUER. Sumner FLIPPIN is part of the Thomas FLIPPIN family and all my life I was told that he was adopted by the WILSONs but I don't think so. I descend from Sumner's son Victor (my grandfather). Please help me in my search. [See #05-1 query above about the mother being Willie WILSON.]
